 We partner with like-minded coffee producers, processors, agricultural specialists and intermediaries to form strong relationships as we work toward the common vision of a sustainable specialty coffee industry focused on quality, transparency and profitability for all necessary members of the coffee trade. 

Coffee from the Dota region in Costa Rica is highly regarded for its exceptional quality. The Dota region, located within the Tarrazú region, is renowned for producing some of the finest Arabica coffee beans in the world. Ours come from 100% organic, sustainable farms, and there are several factors contribute to the exceptional quality of coffee from this area:

• Altitude: The high altitude of the Dota region, ranging from 1,500 to 2,200 meters above sea level, creates ideal growing conditions for coffee. The cooler temperatures and specific microclimates contribute to the beans' slow maturation, resulting in a more complex flavor profile. 
• Rich Soil: The volcanic soil in this region is rich in nutrients, providing an excellent foundation for coffee plants to thrive and produce high-quality beans.
• Climate: The Dota region experiences a distinct rainy and dry season, which further enhances the development of the coffee cherries. The combination of rainfall and dry periods influences the beans' maturation and flavor.
• Processing Methods: Local farmers often employ meticulous processing methods, including traditional wet or washed processing, to ensure the beans retain their inherent flavors.

When roasting, we set out to demonstrate each coffee’s origin characteristics, applying just the right amount of heat and air to bring the beans closer to that clarity of flavor we first tasted at origin.
